Forbes has ranked him as the most highly paid player in football. The sun has named him as the most followed and influential football player in history.

So who is he?

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro is his full name which was named by his parents who are pedigree Portuguese. He was born on February 5, 1985, as the fourth born child in his family.

He was born in Madeira, island in Portugal and raised in Santo Antonio.

His mother was a cook while his father was a municipal gardener and part-time kit man. His father was an alcoholic while his mother was catholic by faith.

According to his mum confession, she wanted to abort him, but the doctor refuse tp perform the procedure. The reason why she didn’t want her pregnancy was because she already have a lot of children according to her and that her husband was alcoholic and she had little to raise the kids with.

He started going school at early days of his life. While he was learning , he used to play football for amateur team Andorinha, where his father was a kit man. He later played for National for two years.

When he was age 12, he went for trial in Sporting Cp where he passed the test and he was signed at $1500. This is where he began his football career and this is where he got a chance to showcase his skills in the pitched.

After signing up the agreement deal to play for the club, he moved from Madeira to Lisbon, near the academy.

At age of 14, he approached her mum to allow him to stop his education so that he can concentrate full time on his football career. Her mother agreed and Cristiano went back to the academy.

However, According to his fellow pupils at the time, reported that Cristiano throws a chair at the teacher which resulted in him being expelled.

Few days in the academy, he experienced another problem that could have seen him suspend his football career. He had a racing heart, which according to the doctor, it required surgery. He underwent surgery and few days after the incident he went back to the training.

Football career

Cristiano Ronaldo started his career in Sporting Cp where he played for both Under 16, under 17 and under 18 all at one season.

In the year 2002, his break through to English premier league happened when Alex Ferguson sign him to play for Manchester United at a cost of 12.24 Million Euros.

He played for Manchester United from 2003 through to 2009 when he left for Real Madrid in Spain.

He joined real Madrid at a cost of 80 million Euros and he played for the club from 2010 to 2017.

He later join Juventus in 2018 at a cost of 100 million Euros.

He played both for under 14, under 16 and under 18 while in the same club.

Cristiano Ronaldo has won made trophies ranging from EPL Trophies to Italian and Spain trophies.

Cristiano is married to Irina Shakyl Russian model who was a shop attendant and they have a daughter together.

He first became a father in 2010 when an American lady gave birth to a baby boy. According to him, he is in full custody of the kid and he will not disclose the name of the lady to the public.

Besides the two kids, he has twins who were given birth through surrogacy in the United States, back in 2017.

Cristiano’s father died in 2005, in alcoholic-related diseases. And his mother survived breast cancer in 2007.

He has been participating in various charity organizations in support of children who have obesity, malaria, and HIV. He donated $100k dollars to a hospital in Madeira that saves her mother to construct a cancer center.
